Washington, D.C. and Easter Wkd.

Washington DC and Easter

WE'RE BAAAACK! We got home last night from one of the most memorable vacations we've taken as a family. Our first six days were spent in Washington D.C with chocha Tushia and Uncle (Vweko) Mike. We arrived on Friday and spent the following day at the Kite festival, which was part of the Cherry Blossom Festival held anually in D.C. WOW!!! The trees were gorgeous and the kites...an amazing site to see hundreds of kites all flown at the same time at the mall (that's what the locals call the area downtown whwre all the momuments can be seen). We did tons of shopping...my favourite sport. Tricia and Mike took us to great eats and fun spots like the zoo (Miah loved the flamingos), the museums of natural history and air and space. The entire trip was amazing. We capped it off by flying home first-class on Ty's brithday -- what a treat that was! Too bad the flight was only just over an hour. Not bad living like the rich and famous! Babcha picked us up at the airport and we spent the night on the lake in Merlin. It was so nice to finally wash some clothes and try to get Miah back on a regualr schedule -- not even close yet to that, though! Good Friday we headed back towards the U.S. and stayed for two nights on the lake outside Windsor. Spent a night with the Siddalls and another with the Oggs and Inverarities (Ty's dad's and mom's families). Miah was spoiled with chocolate and tons of books thanks to all those who love her so dearly. I think she's now knows for sure how loved she is -- this trip was so special to all three of us. Time with all parts of our family was so dearly treasured. Thanks to all of you who made it the wonderfully memorable trip it was.
