What Lay Between Us

Welcome to OUR page. Here you can learn more about the three of us and our adventures as growing family. Some days are slower than others, but this one is just as important as the next. So enjoy. We certainly Do!

Father's Day at the Beach 2007
We love our Daddy so much:)
He works so hard for us, we had to show him how much we love him.
We made and packed a special lunch and headed for the sand and waves.
A great day was had by all.
The water was warm and the sand even hotter.
Thanks for everything you do for us daily, Daddy, we love you!

A weekend away...
Miah made a new friend in Cashew,
and old friends reunited,
while memories were lighted.

Miah's now 18 months.
She's no longer a baby and is a full-on toddler with a very strong mind and even stronger conviction. She's so much fun. Everyday we discover new things and she shows me them through her eyes, enabling n=me to enjoy them all over again (just as she is). Now that the weather is HOT, not even warm, she wants to be outside ALL of the time and that's what we do. The dishes often are ignored and we wear the same clothes over and over again (as long as they didn't get too dirty) casue housework is not a priority. Smelling, and picking the flowers is and so is playing with the hose and putting our faces in the sprinkler to get a drink - these are the important thingsa i=that fill our days. And by evening we're all pooped and ready to pass out. It's fun and we're making the best of every moment we have.

Well...i know it's been almost forever since I've had some time to blog anything, but here's an update. we've packed out garage with building supplies and we're putting together a deck over the next month or so, starting tomorrow with Jay's help (the best brother-in-law known to man or woman:)But, before we could put that deck together, we had some work to do...A sliding door was installed and that's easy to say, but not so easy to do, but my handyman, and mind-blowingly fantastically crafty fiance did it! He figured it out and just did it - he made it look easy! and with Jay's help, again, or course. They say, "If they don't find you handsome, they better find you handy" and these two have it both:)So, after one long Saturday a couple of weeks ago, the wall was down and a beautiful new door was put in it's place and man does it do a job on our house. The light that comes through is amazing - plants may actually live in our dinningroom now. And Miah loves it cause until we finish the inside, which won't be for a while, she gets the run of the room - best play area in the house. Now i know why people need basements when they have kids (not enough room for toys and staorage in the rest of the house). Now, for the past two nights, Ty and I have worked until way after dark, and luckily had Nana and Grampa close-by to mind Miah, cause we completely sided the outside of our laundryroom and what a difference it's made. We finally finished last night going onto 11 p.m. and had some dinner and collasped into bed - tired, but totally proud of ourselves. And tomorrow the postes will be dug and the deck begins...
